Honours Project 3 - Week 1

For this project I will be taking on something a bit more simple in terms of game mechanics! Players are a knight who has been cursed by an evil sword they picked up after a battle. The curse creates a hunger for the life force of those killed with the sword, making the player character hunger for killing. This is the loose concept that I will spend the next week or so creating a more detailed design document to cover all of the details. A lot of research has been undertaken this week prior to starting and more will be done in the upcoming days!

Honours Project 2 - Week 8

This is the final week of the project, with everything finalised and clear! I have spent the last few weeks sorting out a few cinematics and making iterations based on playtest feedback and I feel as though the level is in a great state. I found the system I chose to be quite complex to use, but had a lot of fun creating a space that players could enjoy. I also added some post-processing to the camera to give it a bit more of a unique look. Going forward I think I will do more research on the systems I wish to use, just to avoid a number of weeks of confusion while trying to figure out how they work!
